31 Weeks!

Holy Moses - 31 weeks - meaning only 9 more weeks to go or 64 days left AND that is only if she decides to stay for 40 weeks. The nurses think I will go January 25th. No idea what reasoning they have but I like that they are guessing.

I had a doctors appointment last week and Mary was measuring right on at 30 weeks. I only gained two pounds so I think I up to 26 total. I am pretty impressed. I am hoping to stay under 40 pounds total but with all the holiday goodness around I don't know if I have enough will power.

Here is my 31 week bump shot:

It's Potty Time...

I just had to blog about this because I am so excited I could cry. Henry tinkled on the potty at home. We have been waiting months for this to happen.

You have to understand that he stays dry all day at school and never has any accidents. As soon as we get home, I would take him to the potty and he would not go, then about five to ten minutes later he pees in his pants. He THEN tells me he has to go to the potty after he is soaking wet. This little charade has been going on for probably a month but not tonight!

The poor child probably was so scared when I started screaming that he went in the potty. We both started jumping up and down. We even called Daddy at work to tell him.

I hope we can keep this going. I know we are a long way away from being fully potty trained but any little steps help!

Oooops!

Ok so it has been close to a month since I have blogged. We have been busy, very very busy.

Disney was amazing! Henry had the best time and I think the age we took him was perfect. He loved everything and for the most part had only a couple meltdowns. His favorite ride was getting "soakdid" in Animal Kingdom. Meeting Mickey and Minnie was probably the highlight of his trip. He beamed from ear to ear.

Going to Disney pregnant was not as bad as I thought it might have been. Yes, you are walking for close to 15 hours a day but all the glorious food you can eat because you are walking for 15 hours a day is a real treat! Of course I was exhausted but seeing Henry's face every morning made it so much better.

After we got back from Disney, I was headed down to Columbia for the weekend. I went to visit my friends and celebrate with Robyn at her baby shower. I also was able to see the Gamecocks play and I got to just hang out with my nearest and dearest. I miss those girls so much and I was so happy that I was able to see them.

Got home late Sunday night to a house that was spotless because well, I have the best husband ever. He steam cleaned all the carpets and cleaned the whole house for Thanksgiving. My parents arrived on Tuesday and my brother and his family came on Wednesday.

All of them in our house was so much fun! Thanksgiving morning we had breakfast and watched the Macy's Day Parade. I never miss that parade and I love watching all the balloons. Henry loved the balloons too and he was especially excited when Santa showed up at the end. His face just lit up.

After an afternoon of snacking and then dinner around 3pm we started to get our game plan ready for Black Friday shopping. We ended up getting to TRU at 8:45pm and I think we were 375th in line. This year we started a new tradition and we all wore matching shirts for shopping. It was a joke but it was fun!

TRU was a success and then we headed over to WalMart. OMG the people - we actually never even got out of the car because the lines were so long and the parking lots were so packed. We ended up going back home and waking up at 5:45am to head out again. We hit up Target and WalMart and we were able to score a few more items.

The weather was so gorgeous that when we got home from our early shopping we were able to decorate the outside of the house. I joked all day calling Charlie, Griswald, because Charlie must have four or five light up lawn ornaments and then a blow up Santa. The house looks great and I really need to take some pictures to show you.

Sunday we said our good byes to my brother and his family. It was so great to have them stay with us and I miss all the noise in the house already. They will be back at the end of December to celebrate Henry's birthday so it won't be too long!

That pretty much sums up the past three weeks for the Nardiellos. It has been crazy, exhausting and just downright fun. We are gearing up for the next couple of weeks and I can't wait!

Squeeeeee!

A few posts ago, I mentioned I was in panic mode and I was running out of weeks. So, I got my butt in gear and got things checked off my list.

First, I contacted Becca at Jumping Jax Designs to create Henry's Birthday invite. She of course with her speedy service created the most amazing invite for Henry's party!

If you ever need any kind of custom card or blog design, Becca is your lady. She is amazing and quick. I give her an idea and a few days later, I have exactly what I am looking for. Seriously, check out her site and all her great work!

Yes, I am aware the party is two months away but why not get this knocked off my list. I also contacted the cake lady and a guy to do balloon animals and face painting. Just because you have a winter Birthday and you can't have an outdoor bounce house, doesn't mean you can't have fun!

I was hoping to do a shark party but Henry asked for a Mickey party, so I ran with it. I'm in the process of making the banner and getting the favor tags made too. Becca will take care of the Thank you notes and the cupcake toppers for the family party on the 31st.

Next on my to do list, get the nursery into shape. We had bits and pieces all over. A changing table in the garage that needed to be spray painted and curtains that needed to be hung. Charlie spray painted the changing table, Friday night and we brought it up to the room on Saturday. He also was tired of me bothering him about the curtains so he hung those for me. We ended up moving some furniture around but I am in love!

Just have to hang pictures and work on some of the odds and ends. So, happy with how the room came out. It is a far cry from the yellow and grey room I originally wanted and I have to say I am glad Charlie talked me out of it.

Finally, last night, I may or may not have stuffed the envelopes and put our address on my Christmas cards. Becca created those for me too and again they turned out amazing! Not going to post one here because that would ruin the surprise.

I feel so much better about everything that we have going on and really feel that I got things under control. Vacation is two days away and I am ready, so ready!

Sleep???

Last night Henry was more wound up then when he ate candy on Halloween. It took us 2.5 hours to finally get him to sleep.

At one point we walked into his room and he was only wearing the top to his pj's. Naked on the bottom running around his room. He even ran downstairs to Charlie like that.

After that, I just laid on the bed, and laid there and laid there. He kept getting up and running around. I kept telling him it was Mommy's bedtime and he had missed his by two hours. He didn't really seem to care.

I'm at my breaking point by now and he is finally settling in and he must have known that I was about to lose it, because he looked at me with those big blue eyes and he said "Mommy, I'm going to hold your hand so you don't fall off the bed." I melted and forgot that I had spent over 2 hours getting him to sleep.

Of course now I am wide awake and it is close to 11pm. Charlie is out on the couch and I'm sitting in bed staring at the ceiling, planning a birthday party and packing for Disney in my head. I think I fell asleep around 1am.

Needless to say, I am exhausted! Hoping for a better night tonight!

I was able to get a 27 Bump pic in........

Panic Attack!

Before I get into why I am having a panic attack,  I just want to say that Henry had a BLAST last night trick or treating. He was so fun and he really got into it. Here is a picture of him getting ready to go out and about.

Okay, so while all of this was happening, I was having a minor panic attack and started thinking, I am almost done being pregnant. We have so much going on it is crazy! Here is the countdown that went off in my head while Henry happily marched to each door for candy.

13 weeks until Mary arrives - that is if she decides to stay the full 40 weeks
11 weeks until my Birthday
9 weeks until Henry's Mickey Mouse Birthday party
8 weeks until Henry's Birthday and New Years
7 weeks until Christmas
4 weeks until the North Pole Breakfast/Tree Outing
3 weeks until Thanksgiving
2 weeks until I'm in Columbia with my girls, celebrating Robyn and Tinsley
1 week until Disney World

YIKES!!!! Throw in Christmas shopping, decorating and finishing the nursery and bam, Mary is here and I'm out on maternity leave.

I just hope it all goes slowly, but I seriously doubt that is going to happen.
