Merry Early Christmas!

We have been insanely busy these past few weeks! I am in shock that Henry's 1st Christmas is only two days away. We are heading to New Jersey later this afternoon and we can't wait to celebrate with family and friends.

What have we been up to, you ask? Well let's see.....after that first snowfall we went sledding in Grandpa's yard and had a great time! Then we celebrated Audrey's 1st Birthday with her in Maryland.
The next weekend Nana and Grandf showed up and we celebrated Christmas with them. Henry was spoiled rotten of course. Charlie and I also opened gifts and I was spoiled rotten too. We all spent the morning playing playing with our gifts while the snow fell outside.

Yes, we technically had a white Christmas. Twenty inches of snow fell between 9pm Friday night to 9pm Saturday night. It was amazing! We did not take Henry out into it because there was so much and he had a little cough. So we baked cookies that afternoon and then ate most of them.

On Sunday after we shoveled for about three hours, we packed the car up and headed to Grandpa's to celebrate Christmas again! We had a wonderful time at Grandpa and Gayle's. We watched football, opened gifts and ate way too much!

During all this we switched Henry to whole milk and he is doing great! My wallet is saying Thank you, but I think Target is going to see a decrease in formula sales. I am happy to not be spending $50 a week on formula - this whole milk for $3.00 is AMAZING.

Merry Christmas, everyone!!!!

Santa and the Annual Tree Chop

Not only did we celebrate with all our family on Thanksgiving, we even got to see Santa and chop down our Christmas tree.

We took Henry to see Santa not really knowing what to expect. There was no line so that was nice and the elves were very nice. I think Henry was mesmerized by Santa. He didn't cry or anything, just sat there in awe. Santa was very nice too and told Henry he was going to have a great First Christmas. The picture in my header is from his first Santa trip.

Later in the weekend we headed out past Leesburg to cut down our Christmas tree. The weather was perfect! It took us a little while but we were able to find our tree. My Dad and Charlie chopped down the tree while my mom, Henry and myself watched. It is the perfect tree for our First Family Christmas.

Thanksgiving a Tree Lighting and the Carolina Game

So it has been a few weeks and we have been busy! I can't believe that Thanksgiving has come and gone and that today is already December.

Thanksgiving was such a blast. Henry had the best time hanging out with all his cousins, grandparents, Aunt Kathy and Uncle Dave. Even Uncle Chad made an appearance at dinner. We all ate way too much but it was so worth it. I am so happy that we were all together for Henry's first Thanksgiving. We did miss the Baker Family and Grandpa and Gayle! We know we will see them soon.

On Friday after Thanksgiving Charlie and the boys hung the lights outside the house. Later on that evening we headed to the Reston Town Center for the Tree lighting. It was sooooo cold but so worth it.

We rounded out the fun weekend with the annual Carolina Clemson game. It was a good year for the Gamecocks because we won!!! It was nice to finally have a win. The family was divided...Grandf and the Bolka's in Orange and Purple (the bad colors) and the Nardiellos and Nana in Garnet and Black (the good colors).

Phew, it was a long and fun weekend! We can't wait to do it again next year!
