The Nursery

So, it looks like we really are having a baby.......the furniture for the nursery was delivered Saturday morning! It looks so good in the room against the walls that Charlie painted. He even installed a chair rail and new wooden blinds for the window.

After the crib was put together (just a few grumbles from Charlie) we went out shopping with Grandma (Charlie's mom). We hit up Babies R Us and FINALLY picked out the bedding. This has been a very tough decision for us but ultimately we went with the bedding that I picked out from the very beginning. The bedding is called Alphabet Soup.

This picture isn't the best but I will add more once we get the room a little more put together.

Carolina is here - the Fighting Gamecocks all the way............................

I can't believe that College Football Season is starting tonight! We are so excited to see our Gamecocks open up the season at home against NC State. I was getting worried that I would have nothing to wear for the games this season, but with a little searching online I was able to find this t-shirt!

Although I could not wear it to work - I will be putting it on as soon as I get home tonight!

21 Weeks

This week we hit 21 weeks - there are only 133 days left! Wow where has the time gone! This week our little guy is the size of a banana. He weighs in at 12.7 oz and is 10 1/2 inches long. This week his tastebuds are working! I hope he likes hot sauce because lately I have wanted it on everything!

BOY!!!!!!

Charlie and I are totally excited to be expecting a little boy. I was in complete shock when the tech showed us. I think I asked her three times if she was sure and oh yes she was sure. All the other measurements came in perfect and they kept my due date for Jan 7th! Here is a profile shot of our little guy.........

20 Weeks - Half Way

Today marks the half way point through the pregnancy! I cannot believe how fast it is going. This week the baby is the size of a small cantalope or a banana. The way the baby measures changes this week and he/she is now measured from head to toe. Baby N comes in weighing around 10 1/2 ounces and is about 6 1/2 inches long.

I guess tomorrow we will have exact measurements and hopefully more pictures to post!

The week is finally here!

We made it to the 2nd big milestone! The first being entering the 2nd trimester and now the week everyone has been waiting for..........................Is it a boy or girl! In less then 48 hours we will hopefulluy know!

Baby Bump - 19 weeks

Baby Movement!!

I just felt the baby move for the first time! It felt like soda bubbles in my tummy! Apparently Baby N is a big fan of ice cream and cupcakes.

Doctor's Appointment

We had our monthly check up this morning and everything was great! Baby N's heartbeat was around 150-160 and the baby is positioned in the right spot. I have gained 12 lbs total and the doctor told me that was fine bc she sees that I am all belly!

So, now we wait until next Wednesday.............I hope I can make it! Thank goodness we are going to be busy so the time will hopefully pass quickly!

19 Weeks!

Today we are at 19 weeks! Baby N is weighing in at about 8 1/2 ounces and is the size of a mango. Baby N can possibly hear our voices starting this week. Also, the arms and legs are in the right proportions to each other and the rest of the body.

Tomorrow I have my monthly check up at the doctor in the morning. Then it will be only 7 more days until the big ultrasound.

Baby N's Room - A Work in Progress

About three weeks ago Charlie started working on the baby's room. He painted the bottom half of the room khaki and then put up a chair rail. I must say he did a fantastic job with the chair rail. The top half of the room will be painted once we find out if it is a boy or a girl.

At the end of June we went shopping with my parents and picked out our baby furniture! We were not going to get a white set but when we saw this set - I knew it would be perfect for Baby N. The set is made by Sorelle and it is the Vista collection. We ordered the crib and the dresser/hutch combo.

18 Weeks!

Today we are at 18 weeks - which means only two more weeks until we find out if Baby N is a boy or a girl!!!! We are extremely excited!

This week Baby N is the size of a bell pepper! About 5 1/2 inches in length and weighs in around 7 ounces. Baby N is also busy flexing his arms and legs. Hopefully soon I will be able to feel those little kicks!

Cape May

Last week we spent a wonderful week with our family up in Cape May! We had so much fun hanging out with everyone that we are ready to do it again. Here are some pics from the week!
