It's like Christmas...

Obviously, it's not Christmas but today is pretty darn close...you wake up early, you have a hop in your step, you get out your special outfit and you play music. Sounds like Christmas to me, oh wait you say it's not December? Oh then it must be the first day of college football - Gamecock football that is.

We wait months for this day, at the last game we start counting down until the first game, at the first game we start talking about Bowl games. It's love, it's football.

Now, I don't know where you went to school but I know if you went to school in the South, college football is a way of life. Saturdays, are football and only football in the Fall. No matter what age you are, you are watching, tailgating or talking about your favorite team. You are wearing your favorite team shirt, you are drinking out of your team's koozie and eating your favorite foods. Like, I said, it's a way of life.

It also doesn't matter if you graduated last year of maybe even 14 years (whoa.) ago, you get excited. You play 2001 in the morning during breakfast (this may or may not have happened), you get your kids dressed in cute clothes, even though you live in VA, you plan your dinner around kick off, you count down every minute until you can close your computer at your office and get home to watch the game. It's college football, it's love, it's like Christmas.
