Easter

All the eggs have been dyed, all the candy has been eaten and all my decorations have been put away, Easter is over for another year.

It was a great Easter weekend, despite some rainy weather on Saturday. That rain cancelled the Easter Egg Hunt in our town so we had to think of something else to do. We decided on the Air and Space museum out in Dulles. It was a great choice to beat the rain. Both the kids and the adults had a fantastic time!

After the museum we headed home to dye eggs and BBQ. The rain had cleared and the sun was out, it was a perfect afternoon! I think Henry is the most serious Easter egg dyer, I have ever seen. The kid was all business.

That night the Easter bunny hopped through town and hid the Easter baskets. Henry found his and Baby Alexa's in the pantry while Julia had to look high up to find hers....on top of the Grandfather clock. That Easter bunny is tricky!

Julia went right for the Bunny ears while Henry was more excited about the matchbox cars and fruit snacks. After a quick look through of their baskets we headed out to church.

It was about 500 degrees and Henry was asking to go down the slides. Charlie took him out to the slides and the rest of us just sweated through mass. After the homily the heat had taken over and we were ready to go, we ran into Charlie bringing Henry back in. At this point you could hear the sweat dripping off people, that is how quiet it was, then you hear Henry scream "I'm done!" The lady next to us and half the people in the vestibule chucked and one lady was like, yes we kid, we are all done.

When we got back home the Easter bunny had hidden eggs so we did a little hunt around the yard. Julia and Henry did a great job finding all the eggs.

Easter dinner was delicious! We even had a special appearance by Uncle Chad. Those hams were lucky they were so good, because after looking in three grocery stores, I was about fed up. I did make the cake, I posted below. It came out great!

Soon after dessert we said good bye to the Baker's. Henry missed Julia as soon as they pulled out of the driveway. Even last night he was still asking if she was going to come back this weekend.

It was the perfect Easter weekend and I can't wait to do it again next year! The Nardiello Family: Easter
