It hasn't been a month but it has been damn near close to a month since I posted. Let me briefly go over the last maybe two weeks in no particular order....
Packed a 3500 sq ft house, had PODS delivered, went to Home Depot for boxes x10, started keeping Mary at home during the week, applying for jobs, turning in a car, buying a car, celebrating Easter, unpacking boxes, moving boxes to an apt, setting up an apartment, White House Easter Egg Roll, closing on the old house, sitting in the DMV for endless hours, driving to SC, a wedding, driving home from South Carolina and trying to keep my sanity.
Yeah TWO weeks...all that happened. Not to mention today is our 8th Anniversary and honestly we haven't even had a second to sit down today to say Happy Anniversary.
The new house is coming along, we have electrical and we went and put in the cable placement and the prewire for the speakers in the kitchen and family room. The front porch has been put on and you can see the molding getting ready to go up, too bad it's raining and 50 degrees today.
Mary's sleeping sucks, yes, sucks. It's been taking hours to put her to bed, I mean how could it not with all that is going on. Some nights we were just too tired to even bother and just let her stay up. Well, we all know that is not the right move. Then of course after losing two hours of your evening putting her to bed, you get to get up at 2:30am because hey, she is screaming again. The fact that my eyes even open is close to a miracle. Tonight, I started her back at 7pm in hopes she would be sleeping by 8:30-9pm. The man upstairs was looking down on me, because she was asleep by 7:15. Who wants to bet this bites me in the ass?
Staying home with her is entertaining to say the least. Some days feel like they last a week while others go by pretty quickly. Her favorite part of the day is usually going to pick up Henry at daycare. Probably, because she is happy to get away from the crazy lady who is keeping her all day. We are adjusting and running errands. If you need an errand run, let us know, because honestly, some days I talk myself into running an errand, just to get out of this 900sq foot apartment.
All in all we are above water and we are looking forward to the new house. A lot of stress was relieved when we knew they closed last Thursday. It was one of the best phone calls we had received. We were able to relax for a few days.
I'm hoping now that things have calmed down, I can get back to blogging on a more regular basis.
Night!
