The past few weeks I have been taking some time and getting some good use out of my Silhouette machine. I was making banners and name tags from paper but I thought I would try my hand a vinyl. I have to say I was a little scared to work with it, but now that I do, holy cow - I want to put vinyl on everything!
I watched a quick tutorial on YouTube and I was off. I was honestly nervous the first time I tried it. I didn't have transfer tape (for you non vinyls out there, it's how you get the vinyl to the wall) and I peeled off each letter and stuck them on. I was like oh not so hard, then I went in and used the transfer tape. Ummm, easy as pie, not sure what I was afraid of.
Now, while I am no means a pro at any of this, I have gotten to the point that I look for things to put vinyl on because I might say I'm addicted. Let me show you....
A journal for a friend that is traveling to Greece....
A carry all bag for Henry....
Plastic bins so Henry can throw his random toys in....
Hard Plastic Solo cups for my brother and Charlie for the 4th of July...
Shhh...a surprise for a friend - SURPRISE!
Henry's doorway....
There is one picture missing, I did another vinyl for Henry's room that says Play Ball. I guess I can reveal that when I show you his baseball room. It's almost done and he is loving it.
Anyway, you can see how much fun I am having. I haven't tackled anything grand just yet and all the items pictured, were no more than a dollar, maybe that notebook was $2, maybe. The vinyl came from a site called Pick Your Plum and was super cheap. I'm hoping soon to get more colors of vinyl and get to things that might be a little harder to design, but for now I'm happy just playing around.
