The other week Zulily had TOMS up at a discounted price. I went and looked and saw a cute pair that I wanted for Mary. I thought they would be cute for the Spring. Placed my order and waited.
Last week I got an email that they shipped and I would have them soon. Then a few days later I got another email saying, oops, there was a little confusion and the pair you bought is not the pair your bought. Now, this is where customer service at Zulily really stepped it up. Here is the email they sent.
We made a mistake—the pink butterfly TOMS shoes you ordered were pictured incorrectly on our site. They had been confused with the same style of shoe in a different pink butterfly print. We caught the switcheroo after the similar shoes had already been shipped to you—they're on the way. You'll receive the size you ordered.
We've issued you a $18.99 store credit refund, plus an additional $10 credit. Your credit can be used toward anything on zulily. We're sorry about the mix-up!
While the shoes you were expecting aren't available, we hope you'll enjoy the similar pair. Please keep them when they arrive, or give them to a friend or charity.
How great is that customer service? Mary got her shoes yesterday and while they are not the ones I wanted, I think they are still kind of cute.
Actually, they are adorable and just make her feet cuter! Now, if she would just take some steps in them we would be all set.
